Prime Biopolymers has successfully developed bottles for oils of up to one liter manufactured by extrusion blowing in the facility of Thermofluidos, S.A. of C.V. for the industrial production in Mexico. Our BIOplastic ZIMIA XW728, which is certified OK compost industrial by TUV Austria, has revealed as an excellent sustainable alternative for extrusion blowing processes.

This achievement has been possible thanks to the close collaboration with our Mexican distributor POLIMADE. Their technical experience in the Mexican plastics industry and their commitment to sustainability perfectly reflect our DNA.

Sustainability is the mission of PRIME BIOPOLYMERS. Currently, we have a wide catalog of bioplastics developed for various packaging manufacturing methods, combined with our global commercial network, we are able to provide solutions for innovative, effective and sustainable products that can be manufactured with our ZIMIA bioplastics.

Setting the impact of bioplastics in perspective, in 2023 global production reached 2.02 million metric tons. This figure is expected to grow at an annual rate of 20% until 2028. Furthermore, the use of bioplastics significantly reduces the consumption of raw materials from petroleum, and prevents the proliferation of persistent microplastics in the environment.
