Prime Biopolymers will be exhibiting at K 2022, the most anticipated global event of the year for the plastics industry.
K is the world’s most important specialized event for the plastics and rubber industry. It will take place from October 19th to 26th, 2022 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Despite the circumstances caused by Covid-19, the interest of attendees and exhibitors has not diminished. An example of this is the large number of exhibitors that will be cited during the event, as in 2022 the fairgrounds will be fully occupied again.
During this edition, the circular economy will become the most relevant topic for the global plastics and rubber sector.
At K 2022, a large part of the world’s plastics and rubber industry will be participating, resulting in a truly international event.
Over 3,000 companies from all seven continents have registered to present their developments and innovations in the following areas:
- Raw materials and auxiliaries: space where Prime Biopolymers will be located.
- Semi-finished products, technical parts and reinforced plastic products.
- Machinery and equipment for the plastics and rubber sector.
K 2022 will be the world’s most important commercial and innovation business hub for the plastics industry.
From October 19th to the 26th, exhibitors and visitors from all over the world will meet and take advantage of the opportunities provided by the trade fair to address current trends and orient themselves towards the future.
K 2022: Main themes
In addition to presenting innovations from the world of plastics, the K in Düsseldorf will address today’s major challenges, those actors in the plastics industry who must cope with them on a daily basis.
The three main themes of the event reflect the following:
- Circular economy
- Digitalization
- Environmental protection
As can clearly be seen, these are three business strands among which Prime Biopolymers has a great place and plenty to contribute.
A truly international event
The sector’s concern for responsible plastics management was already seen at the last edition of the event, which took place from October 16th to 23rd, 2019.
During the encounter, the 3,333 exhibitors from 63 different countries unanimously corroborated the need for a functional circular economy throughout the production chain of the plastics sector.
This year, Prime Biopolymers, a bioplastics company, will be present precisely to showcase sustainable solutions that are already ready to be implemented and industrial manufacturing levels.
In the last edition, the K fair again increased the internationality of the attendees, which was 73%. More than 42% of all foreign attendees were non-European, with visitors from countries such as India, China, Angola, the Dominican Republic, and many others attending the Rhine.
The proportion of experts from Asia accounted for the largest group of foreign attendees: some 40,000 professionals from Southeast Asia.
In addition, the majority of the attendees were managers. To be specific, two-thirds belonged to top and middle management.
“K 2019 came at just the right time. The high attendance from around the globe underlines its great importance for the industry, which lacks another representation as international and cohesive as the one enjoyed every three years in Düsseldorf”, says Werner Matthias, Chairman of the Management Board of Messe Düsseldorf.
On the other hand, Werner Matthias says, “It is precisely at times of great challenges that a platform such as the K trade fair is indispensable. It provides orientation and perspectives, sustainable economic impetus, future trends and concrete solutions”.
